Aircraft Summary
The Cessna Citation CJ1 is the successor to the original CitationJet (CJ). It features a state-of-the-art EFIS avionics suite and has an increased maximum takeoff weight. This aircraft can be operated by one pilot. Two Williams FJ44-1A engines power this plane, each providing 1,900 pounds of thrust. The fuel consumption rate is 116 gallons per hour (GPH). With four passengers on board and enough fuel, the CJ1 can travel up to 1,127 nautical miles while operating under NBAA IFR conditions.
Cessna Citation CJ1+ is powered by the state-of-the-art Williams FJ44-1AP dual-channel FADEC engine. This allows for a faster flight speed and an increased gross weight of 100 pounds, allowing for more cargo to be transported further distances. The avionics package consists of the Collins Pro Line 21 and Landmark TAWS. In the summer of 2005, Cessna earned the CJ1+ type certification and deliveries will start in the fourth quarter.
The CJ1 was modernized with the CJ1+, featuring an upgraded avionics system and FADEC technology, which allows computers to control engines instead of manual controls. At 41,000 feet, this jet can travel more than 20 kts faster than its predecessor.
