Aircraft Summary

The Cessna Citation Encore is the largest model in the highly successful Citation family with straight wings. It has new Pratt & Whitney PW535 engines, trailing link main landing gear, increased fuel payload and upgraded interior and systems–all ready for RVSM from the factory. This aircraft can take off from a sea level runway in 3,490 feet and requires 5,750 feet at an altitude of 5,000 feet and a temperature of 77°F. Not only does it have a quick takeoff time but it also reaches its maximum cruise speed of .74 Mach at 37,000 feet in just thirteen minutes. For long range cruising, it flies at 376 knots at its highest certified flight level of 45,000 feet. Serial Number 560-0686 was changed to Serial Number 560-0751 while Serial numbers 560-0667 & 560-0672 were modified to a model UC-35C.

The Encore+ is equipped with two PW535B engines mounted on pylons that generate 3,400 pounds of thrust and are designed to reduce the pilot’s workload through FADEC technology. The major inspection interval for this aircraft is 5,000 hours. Replacing the Honeywell Primus 100 found in the original Encore is a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 system, which includes an autopilot with dual channel flight guidance system, 3D navigation Flight Management System FMS-3000, Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) radios, three 8×10 matrix LCD screens and a Garmin GPS 500 display. Not only does this new avionics suite help to provide clear cockpit information but it also helps to improve payload capability as it is lighter in weight at 1,170 lbs when full of fuel. Optional amenities include HF radio with SECAL, ADF receiver, a second 12 channel GPS receiver and Doppler turbulence detection weather radar. The aircraft itself is constructed from high-strength aluminum alloys that are held together by adhesive metal bonding and its main gear contains a trailing link which improves braking efficiency. An extended wing length of 20 inches allows for improved high-altitude performance and climb while heaters installed in the fuel system eliminates the need for anti-icing additives.
