Finding pilots that are going to stay with your flight department and keeping them in a regular schedule for simulator training. Sim schools are often booked out months in advance.

Claim History

Claims history for the Citation Latitude is good. Insurance companies are familiar with underwriting the Citations and will be competitive for a Citation Latitude because claims are low for dual pro pilot flight operations.

Safety Features

Safety features for the Citation Latitude are the dual type rated pilots. Insurance companies will also require both pilots to have completed annual simulator training at FlightSafety, CAE Simuflite, or Simcom. The Latitude is typically flown with pro pilots for Part 91 Industrial Aid or Part 135 Charter.

Insurance rates are between 0.25% – 0.5% of the hull value. The range depends on the experience of the pilots and overall risk profile of the operation.
