Cessna Citation 700 Longitude

Valuation

As of 2023, the price range for the Cessna Citation Longitude is $22,100,000 – $30,000,000. It’s a new jet so the price range is smaller than most other Citations. Textron started manufacturing it in 2017 with the first deliveries in 2020. It’s considered the new leader in business jets with many similarities to the Citation Latitude. So far there have been 80 Citation Longitudes that have been produced by Textron.

Risk Areas

Pilot warranties that try to deviate from requiring both pilots to complete annual simulator based training in the Longitude. With the hull value being so high you’ll get the best rates and most quotes if both pilots are experienced and complete sim training annually.

Claim History

The Citation Longitude is a newer aircraft for Textron and it has a good claims history. A few no fault related claims that are typical are weather related physical damage, bird strikes, and engine FOD. Pilot error related claims are hangar rash, hard landings, and runway incursions.

Safety Features

The biggest safety feature for a Citation Longitude is the dual type rated pilots. The Longitude is primarily flown Part 91 Industrial Aid or Part 135 Charter by professional pilots that have both completed full motion based simulator training in the Longitude in the last 12 months at FlightSafety, CAE Simuflite, or SImcom.

Because it’s often flown with dual pro current pilots, insurance companies are aggressive in competing for these types of operations. Rates for a Longitude are between 0.2% – 0.4% of the hull value, depending on the pilots and overall risk profile.
