Aircraft Summary
The VI and VII models are the successors of the III model. The VI is a basic version of the III, while the VII is a more powerful and advanced version. All three aircraft share the same fuselage, wings, and tail design. However, the VII uses TFE-731-4R-2S engines which provide increased speed, climb rate, and hot/high takeoff performance. The RVSM certification can be obtained by following Service Bulletin SB-650-34-105 instructions.

As of 2023 the market value of a Citation VI is $805,000 – $1,005,000. The price range varies largely based on the year of the aircraft and pre-buy inspection if it’s been listed for sale. In pre-buy inspections, mechanics and appraisers are typically looking for corrosion and this applies to any aircraft. The Citation VI is an older aircraft the value also depends on the engine TBOs, paint, interior, and avionics along with a clean accident history and accurate maintenance logs.
The Citation VI was built by Cessna between 1994 – 1999. There were a total of 279 built and of that 261 are still in operation. The Citation V started production in 1989 and ended in 1994. There were a total of 262 built and 249 in operation as of February 2023.
