Embraer broke into the private jet market in 2006 with the launch of their ultra-large executive jet, the Lineage 1000. The price range of the Embraer Lineage 1000 is $13,300,000 to $19,620,000 while the Lineage 1000E falls between $24,385,000 and $35,160,000.

Embraer began the production of the Lineage 1000 in 2008 and stopped in 2013. The aircraft was upgraded to the Lineage 1000E model and was later discontinued in 2019.

Embraer has built 12 Lineage 1000E and all of them are still in service. 20 Lineage 1000 were built but 2 have been retired and 18 are still in service today.

Safety Features

The GE CF34-10E7-B engine is furnished with dual Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) to heighten safety.

Embraer Lineage 1000/1000Es are fitted with computerized Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite with advanced features to reduce the pilot’s workload, enhance situational awareness and improve safety.

The aircraft is equipped with SATCOM and weather radar detection. The cockpit also has Dual Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), an automatic direction finder, Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and microwave landing system (MLS).

Other safety features are Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), wind shear detection and Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS).

In 2008, the Lineage 1000 could be upgraded with Elbit Systems / Kollsman Enhanced Vision System (EVS II) and Rockwell Collins HGS-5600E head-up guidance system to increase situational awareness and flight safety from takeoff to landing.
