Epic E1000 GX

The E1000 GX, introduced in 2021, has been manufactured and sold at a price between $3,845,000 and $4,195,000. Twenty-nine planes have been built; 25 are in active service with various operators while four remain at the factory site.

Risk Areas

Insuring the Epic E1000 GX aircraft can be difficult, especially for pilots over 70 or with less experience and looking for a new insurance relationship. Insurance companies look for 1,000+ total time and some other turboprop/turbojet time. The market is catching up with demand, but premiums were previously higher compared to similar models.

Premiums vary based on hull value, pilot experience, claim history, and local maintenance accessibility. Insurance companies consider the history of previous claims and the associated costs when determining the premium rates for the Epic E1000 GX.

Claim History

Epic Aircraft has a good claim history with the Epic E1000 GX. The aircraft has a low accident record, with no notable accidents or issues to report. Common claims for this aircraft include hard landings, bird strikes, and runway overruns.

Safety Features

The Epic E1000 GX prioritizes safety without sacrificing performance as a single-engine turboprop aircraft. The Garmin GFC 700 Autopilot system is only one of several high-tech safety measures included on this aircraft. Because of this improvement, the E1000 GX is more powerful and secure than ever before.

The aircraft also includes an automated flight control system, a Hartzell five-blade composite propeller, and a remarkable clean-sheet design made of advanced composite materials that delivers exceptional speed, range, payload capacity, elegance and safety.

Epic Aircraft’s E1000 GX comes with Epic’s Safety Program, designed to provide exceptional safety and support for pilots and passengers. A Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67A engine powers the Epic E1000 GX aircraft–a high-performance turboprop engine known for its reliability and efficiency.

The aircraft’s speed and performance are exceptional because of the engine’s capacity to generate up to 1200 shaft horsepower. The engine also benefits from a full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) system, which allows for improved efficiency and lower emissions.
